The Business Analytics Consultant is member of the CFO/ FP&A team responsible for implementing business analytics; from business concept and vision through delivery for the MassMutual Financial Advisors (MMFA) organization. This includes acting as Subject Matter Expert/Product Owner on an ongoing Agile Project in partnership with IT, CX and others, The Project objectives are to establish a “single source of truth” MMFA DataMart and implement Microstrategy, a robust business intelligence tool, to drive decisions and measure strategic initiatives.
Primary responsibilities in business analytics include design, develop, enhance, and support any new or existing reports.
Product Owner integral to ongoing data and reporting modernization effort for MMFA Sales Reporting & Analytics
Perform data exploration using all available tools, including Microstrategy, Tableau and other BI tools, spreadsheets and databases.
Recommend modifications to current analytical structures/components used in the reporting process.
Analyzes operational and transactional data, and incorporate all analysis findings into creating dashboard visualizations, or other presentation formats for management use.
Make actionable recommendations to MMFA business partners based on research and analytical results
Collaborate with IT & CX partners to ensure data quality and integrity in our data environments.
Prepare Ad-Hoc reports and analysis as needed.
Minimum 5 years professional experience with data management and Business Intelligence tools, including Microstrategy, Tableau, Cognos, Excel, Access, SQL, DataMart
Insurance and/or Financial Services experience with knowledge of Sales & Distribution models .
Analytical minded person with sensitive aptitude toward numbers
Sensitive to business trends and patterns
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, etc.)
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Graduate degree a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
