We are seeking a polished and experienced individual contributor events marketing professional with strong strategic marketing experience related to events planning, such as conferences, in the B2B space. Develops effective strategies and themes that tie back to campaigns and other key messaging as provided by the advisor marketing leads. Develops content and executes projects, working closely with internal and external resources. Must be a self-starter, take initiative and have strong collaboration skills. Ability to network and learn from various business units of the company and travel to attend events.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage the B2B events strategy in all key aspects of the client event planning process

  • Assess each conference event to gather competitive intel and evaluate execution and effectiveness of strategies and tactics in order to continuously improve outcomes and engagement from events

  • Builds out approach for each event working with key internal and external partners

  • Build invitation lists, create branded communications, and execute invitation sends and processes as well as post event surveys

  • Pre-event planning including: participate in planning team conference calls, liaison with external events coordinators/owners, and brainstorm new event approaches

  • Create and execute an end to end lead capture process, including benchmarks and metrics to be evaluated post event

  • Treats each event uniquely by researching and working with conference coordinators to uncover all possible opportunities for marketing at the event and leverages those that will be most effective for our organization and drive the most engagement (i.e. banner and signage, sponsorship, speaker opportunities etc.)

  • Considers and leverages social media and other communication tactics to drive engagement with MassMutual at the event

  • Manages post-program analysis and post-event discussions with planning team

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis

  • Manage "swag" and conference materials including all event giveaways
