MassMutual’s Customer Experience (CX) Group is seeking a product owner to join the team. With significant responsibility and ownership, this opportunity is to work in an environment designed to deliver outstanding customer experience in insurance and financial services, while learning from some of the best product people in the business.

This Product Owner acts as the product lead for Customer digital Profile and Preference functional area in a product team made up of business analytics, product designer and engineers along with data analysts. The job also includes consultation and collaboration with the Customer Support Organization to gather customer feedback and where necessary. Product Owner also works closely with the Product Manager to ensure execution of strategic direction based on business needs to ensure execution of a cohesive customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in your area of the product, understanding the competitive landscape and how those things relate to the company mission and vision;

  • Develop cohesive product vision that superserves business needs;

  • Deeply know the problems that you’re tackling through research and regular interaction with customers and business stakesholders;

  • Understand the underlying technologies;

  • Closely collaborate with technology teams in various organizations;

  • Maintain a prioritized feature and story backlog of market driven needs for the scrum team;

  • Constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the problem through quantitative and qualitative measures

  • Conduct review with business stakeholders and compliance

  • Manage feature release with Operation readiness to support customer support team and field communication.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION

  • 3+ years product development experience with the ability to think deeply about product decisions

  • Excellent self-starter who can collaborate effectively with designers and engineers

  • Ability to easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically.

  • Have excellent organizational skills and experience in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

  • Must be able to provide examples and at least one sample of an effective document and presentation.
