Position Summary:

  • Relative to the establishment and advancement of the Field Technology Supervision model, this role oversees establishment and maintenance of: field technology protocols and governance policies and procedures, training and development for the ATS population, defining quality assurance measures, firm performance data collection and analysis, and home office staff role development.

  • Empowers operational team with leadership and resources needed to successfully achieve operational objectives.

  • Collaborates with external stakeholders to further drive realization and optimization of ATS success model in attaining short and long-term operational goals. Key stakeholders include Field Compliance, Field Management, Enterprise Risk, IT and Field Financial Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives strategic & operational design, development and delivery of a new operational model that enables timely, efficient and effective firm-tailored technology support to their advisors and staff.

  • Supports growth, development and supervision of the Agency Technology Specialist (ATS) role in field, through development of performance monitoring measures; reports on operational performance and develops plans to improve relevant key performance indicators.

  • Champions and maintains program vision, scope, organizational strategy, budget, and resource plan.

  • Coaches and manages team members to encourage maximum engagement and performance including:

  • Defining and setting performance measures

  • Nurturing a dynamic and outcome driven team, centered on establishing the start-up model for field technology supervision and sharing the common vision for success

  • Manages through significant ambiguity, providing clarity to staff, enabling decision making and course corrections to keep team moving forward toward vision

  • Works with staff to develop personal development plans. Maintains regular check-ins to review progress coupled with performance to ensure successful operational outcomes along with professional development

  • Develops and champions change initiatives in a performance-based environment.

  • Collaborates on expansion opportunities and managing outside interest to leveraging the field supervision model to advance external objectives. Manages scope to ensure focus on vision, while driving for optimum performance with existing operational capability/capacity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Understands career agency operations and technology goals for distribution, with thorough understanding and experience for the full range of business functions and systems of a career agency..

  • Knowledgeable of MM technology and practices for ATS success.

  • 5-7+ years of program management or operational experience in leadership role

  • Proven track record in driving for results with appropriate urgency, grit and positivity.

  • Experience leading implementations of new tools and processes in partnership with IT and field organization

  • Confident communicator and negotiator, with proven ability to translate complex ideas and issues into clear and consumable strategy.

  • Ability to create effective relationships: listen, influence, collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.

  • Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. with or without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Early stage startup experience is a plus; preferably that involves the field. Helps teams deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment.
