Description

The Enterprise Services Customer Specialist evaluates business problems, identifies and specifies the application and/or systems requirements, evaluates vendor packages vis-à-vis needs, implements required software and hardware. Consults with business area management and staff on the usage of end user computing systems and network-based PC/workstation software and hardware, systems security, recovery and back-up procedures. Participates in the evaluation of new end user computing packages, including remote connectivity products, and equipment, implements and tests prototypes, applies installation quality assurance tests, and assures consistency with standards for the Springfield & Enfield MassMutual locations.

  • Handles projects or work with defined scope in own discipline and typically has a short-term focus

  • Works with minimal guidance on small-scale team/unit projects

  • Solves problems in own specialty area

  • Makes worthwhile improvements to existing programs, and procedures

  • Makes practical suggestions for improving work processes in own area

  • Works for consensus and contributes to achievement of work group goals

  • Individual typically has at least 2+ years of related experience

Basic Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business application requirement identification

  • 2+ years PC hardware and software experience

  • High school degree plus at least 2 years’ experience working with networks and/or software for end user computing systems

  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Computer QA assurance testing experience

  • Vendor evaluation experience
