POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Aggregation team aims to improve delivery capability and outcomes by offering our business clients a combination of dedicated technology and consultative delivery talent organized in a dedicated work-cell. As part of the Technology Leadership team, you will lead the team to create and execute on a technology strategy and roadmap. This role will be accountable for providing consistent and reliable support, and devising solutions that make it easier / faster / cheaper for MassMutual to reach more customers. This work-cell team emphasize business/domain knowledge, with purpose, mastery and autonomy as key principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages a multi-disciplined technology team focused on the development and execution of the Data Aggregation function.

  • Accountable for delivery and health of work-cell team (currently waterfall with a preferred shift to Agile).

  • Develop technology strategies and roadmaps, mapping to business needs.

  • Actively participates in industry and brings insights into MM.

  • Provide cost and capability transparency to business partners.

  • Oversight for portfolio capacity / demand of work-cell teams – gathering demand from IT and business leaders and planning accordingly.

  • Accountable for selection and engagement of team members – attract, retain and develop talent.

  • Accountable for program and project budget forecast and actuals management

  • Create an environment that is proactive, inclusive, agile, economical, collaborative and accountable.

  • Coach, mentor and provide career guidance for all team members and build domain expertise within the team.

  • Ensure execution is aligned with best practices and standards as defined by CoEs and solutions deployed are secure as per EIRM standards.

  • Collaborate within and across CIO channels to identify delivery efficiencies, leverage teammates on the bench and ensure all teams are successful

  • Provides information to business partners about product line improvement opportunities and collaborates with them to drive down costs and support capabilities. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Self-driven, energetic leader who operates with clear vision, and transparency.

  • Communicates expertly and crisply.

  • Excellent presentation, influencing and reasoning skills.

  • Track record of medium and large scale project delivery. Agile delivery experience preferred.

  • Experience managing business engagements, starting with building strong relationships with the various business leads and balancing a wide variety of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.

  • Proven ability to promote ideas and proposals persuasively, shape stakeholders’ opinions, project a positive image, work through conflicts and negotiate win/win solutions.

  • Proven ability to apply financial insights and draw accurate conclusions from financial and other quantitative information.

  • Experience acting as an advisor and partner in the development and definition of business strategies.

  • Demonstrated leadership in coordinating initiatives across business and organizational boundaries, and building effective cross-functional teams.

  • Strong people leadership skills including talent assessment, coaching and development.

  • Performs well under pressure

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of overall related experience with at least 3+ years of IT leadership, business unit or other functional leadership experience.
