POSITION SUMMARY

With a finance lens provide reporting and analysis on the MMFA sales organization. Provide insight to finance and MMFA on firm profitability to MM and firm investments by MM through the examination of expenses and sales. Collaborate with MMFA to provide analysis as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With limited supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting moderate to complex financial analysis.

  • Create financial models

  • Analysis of financial conditions and business dynamics (e.g., profitability, financial ratios, trends, inter-relationships, etc.)

  • Variance and trend analysis (e.g., actual to plan, actual to forecast, period to period, etc.)

  • Present findings and make recommendations to management that results in business impact.

  • Develop and implement reporting methods.

  • Use advance Excel or Access models to manipulate and deliver data

  • Continually adjust priorities and handle multiple demands with urgency

  • Engage in continuous improvement thinking and implementing best practices policies and procedures aligning with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis and database management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree (Finance, Accounting or similar field preferred)

  • A self-starter with critical attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills; required proficiency in other Microsoft Office Software, including PowerPoint

  • Excellent analytical, accounting, finance, mathematical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal presentation skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the MassMutual career agency system and sales process

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; team player, self-motivated; patient demeanor; approachable style

  • Experience with financial models and/or analytic tools

  • Knowledge of financial dynamics and profitability drivers

  • 2-3 years of experience in similar role
