RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support approximately 15 agencies from a financial perspective. Consult General Managers and General Agents on all cash flow, financial risk, profitability, and other relevant financial issues in their agencies.

  • Educate MMFA Agents, Sales Managers, and General Agents on the financial components of their contracts.

  • Create annual budgets and review monthly financial statements to ensure budget targets are achieved.

  • Consult early and assertively on required action steps to bring financial results in line if budget targets are in danger of being missed.

  • Partner with MMFA Field Management, Finance, Agency Real Estate and others to provide actionable insight into drivers of various trends and metrics at an agency level (production, recruiting, net field force, finances, etc.).

  • Advocate for optimal deployment of both MassMutual and General Agent capital as it relates to growth investments.

  • Utilize cost benefit analysis, financial modeling, and influencing skills to achieve desired results.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact to ensure field understanding and compliance with all provisions of NY Regulation 4228.

  • Position requires 15-25% travel which can occur in seasonal peaks throughout the year

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Basic Qualifications:

  • Seasoned individual capable of handling broad scope projects that have short to medium-term focus

  • Works with guidance on more complex projects

  • Capable of applying a wide knowledge base to handle all but the most complex problems independently

  • Anticipates change and directs or redirects efforts

  • Looks for and finds ways to improve operations and business results

  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and influencing skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
