MassMutual’s Strategic Wealth Partners is a startup remote, virtual advisory firm. Our team is comprised of trusted financial educators and architects that creatively guide clients through their financial journey. We listen, educate and collaborate to champion each client’s goals with integrity and passion. What you’ll do

Lead by example to drive the firm’s strategy, mission and vision

  • Create a culture of high standards, integrity, collaboration, success and experimentation; adhere to culture and serve as an example

  • Achieve goals consistent with the company's expectations such as customer and employee satisfaction, firm sales and profitability, and servicing clients with a holistic approach

  • Serve as role model for time management and activity tracking; use time effectively/efficiently, set priorities and hold yourself accountable for meeting commitments

Manage the firm’s day-to-day operations

  • Develop and execute the firm’s business plan and strategy including sales results, marketing, staffing, operations, compliance, and information technology

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine strategy and business processes based upon customer and team learnings

  • Perform supervisory responsibilities to adhere to company guidelines as published in firm supervisory manuals

  • Ensure the firm is optimally staffed to provide the best client experience

Attract and retain exceptionally talented advisors that set a high bar for being truly innovative

  • Recruit new talent that will adhere to and to execute the firm culture

  • Evaluate, coach and develop all personnel in the firm, including advisors and specialty roles, through a spirit of collaboration

  • Demonstrate, train, coach and evaluate the consultative process and skills needed to succeed and ensure high-level, consistent client engagement by advisors

Advocate and contribute to the culture and reputation of the firm

  • Maintain trusted professional relationships within the home office to provide client solutions outside internal areas of expertise

  • Check and adjust firm policies and procedures to create a scalable prototype to be used in successive generations of firm design

Act as a consultant to the launch of MassMutual Strategic Wealth Partners

  • Contribute to the build-out of the firm’s processes and procedures

  • Author scripts for our series of client engagement interactions

  • Build workflows into the firm’s customer relationship management (CRM) software

  • Provide feedback to streamline product delivery processes

  • Actively participate in team trainings / coaching sessions

  • Broad knowledge of investments, insurance, taxes, retirement, college savings, estate planning, risk management, and capital gains planning

  • Excellent problem solving and research skills

Minimum requirements

  • Licensing: Life and Health, FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 63, FINRA Series 24

  • College degree preferred; in lieu of degree, relevant work experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services industry / 5+ years’ management experience

Additional preferred skills

  • Financial Industry designations (e.g. CFP, CLU, ChFC)

  • Proficiency with CRM, financial planning software (Money Guide Pro [preferred] or eMoney) and electronic order entry systems
