The MMUS CFO will be responsible for these specific deliverables and responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to support decision-making across enterprise by maintaining an effective planning and analysis capability with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the business portfolio. Develop and execute processes to allow for a timely management response to routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging analytical resources and tools in businesses

  • Lead, drive and manage financial planning and budgeting processes, including annual review with board, ongoing updated forecasts and long term strategic plan. Routinely communicate business and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications for Executive Leadership and Corporate Finance to enable timely response. Coordinate with Corporate Controller, Head of Tax, Valuation, and Treasurer for efficient and accurate corporate accounting consolidation and closing process through analytical review and trend analysis.

  • Bring the appropriate knowledge, information and expertise to bear in making decisions. Evaluate costs, risks and benefits of alternatives; critically and logically build financial and /or non-financial analytical models that drive fact-based decision-making.

  • Advise on short and long-term financial management goals and objectives including initiative tracking.

  • Advise the Executive Leadership team regarding all financial aspects of the MM businesses in various formats to facilitate internal financial discussions or decisions to drive business results. Lead scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the business portfolio. Monitor competitive dynamics of the industry and capital markets

  • Prepare presentations in support of Board and Executive Leadership Team meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various board committees of the company.

  • Liaise and coordinate communications and financial data and analytics for outside investors and rating agencies

  • Coordinate and implement the capital management and review process for the company in support of the Capital Committee. Model potential changes to capital structure, acquisition and divestiture planning.

  • Inspire, lead and execute on CFO 2020 finance transformation initiatives across Corporate Finance and the enterprise to including data-driven financial analysis, automated reporting, optimizing product and sales mix, evaluating financial trade-offs of contemplated business actions, and encouraging development of staff and processes to support agile and analytical thinking

  • Relationship Management

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business clients and constituencies.

  • Liaise with internal business departments and support a culture of service or proactive solutions and team support.

  • Build team relationships across the organization.

  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences and projects in the area of financial management. Maintain effective working relationships with applicable personnel, external auditors, attorneys and other parties.

  • Execute on select business and holistic CFO2020 priorities to further develop trusted partnerships

  • Participate as a key thought leader of the Senior Leadership Team in Corporate Finance, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities, managing directly and indirectly the finance staff in multiple locations.

  • Optimize processes to eliminate waste and efficiently deliver timely, high quality results.

  • Empower associates to drive value-added activity and growth.

  • Embrace MM Way and lean principles to build operational efficiencies. Establish best practices and process improvements, which support goal of improving service/operations delivery models while reducing unit costs.

  • Identify and monitor key performance metrics. Utilize developing technologies and team input to enhance key performance metrics in support of service levels and efficiency.

  • Look for needed changes to improve processes, systems and results. Implement actions and build accountability in support of change. Ensuring continuous improvement and controls over key processes.
