Description

  • Playing a key role in Mass Mutual’ s Release Management process

  • Establish release schedules including critical business events & operational impacts (methodology agnostic)

  • Partner closely with portfolio management to establish target delivery dates for major programs that align to business objectives

  • Conduct impact & risk assessment and identify interdependencies of intra-inter release items

  • Identify aggregate risks and issues for releases in assigned LoB

  • Identify test environment risks as appropriate

  • Develop release risk scoring based on complexity, resource and/or schedule

  • Partners closely with delivery, business and operations teams to assure operational readiness of releases

  • Partners with IT Change Management to confirm require risk and readiness assessments are in good order

  • Manages aggregate deferred defects for releases as well as management of 1st execution activities

  • Supports post-install in partnership with Incident Management as appropriate

  • Work across organizations

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 years of prior IT experience

  • 3+ years of project management skills (planning, risk/issue management)

  • Broad Business knowledge of Financial Advisors business objectives & strategy

  • Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) – proven ability to communicate with both IT& business partners across all organizational levels

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, self-directed and able to operate with minimal supervision

  • Highly collaborative

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of PM experience is preferred

  • Prior Release Management experience is preferred

  • Understanding of various delivery models (agile, devops, waterfall, hybrid)

  • Experience with Service Management toolsets (Service Now a +) and demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment is preferred
