The Tax & Resolution Team leader is responsible for a cross functional team consisting of approximately 14 direct reports who are responsible for annuity tax administration, TSA relationship management and annuity corrective processing and controls. He/she will be responsible for creating an environment of high performance, compliance, innovation, and employee engagement leveraging data and lean management principles. This individual will ensure that established service goals are achieved and will support the success of the business through strong operational leadership. The leader of this unit will partner with senior leadership to establish goals, assess the health of the organization, and define operational strategies. They will be required to have a solid command of the team’s policies and procedures.. He/she must have the ability to interact with the Field Force and the ability to handle difficult customer cases with confidence, poise, and professionalism.
Research, analysis and problem resolution
Develop and manage the achievement of business objectives for assigned area(s).
Participate as member of the organizations management team contributing to the development of strategies and business goals and measures.
Contribute to the development of financial and resource plans and manage own budget. Oversee daily operation of department(s).
Implement short- term business strategies.
Responsible for implementing cost saving procedures.
Direct staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and programs.
Adhere to both company policy and governmental regulations concerning department.
Manage departmental structure, employee development, training and planning.
Responsible for overall operations management of the team’s functions
Participates as a member of the organization’s management team contributing to the development of strategies and business goals
Establishes and directs work plans and goals for the work groups and team
Develop, set, and communicate performance objectives for staff
Regularly review procedures and process flows to ensure that they meet industry standards and company specific guidelines
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across business areas
Drives continuous and sustainable service performance and growth through the use of LEAN techniques including but not limited to: Visual Management; Daily Huddles; Workplace Organization; Problem Solving; and Standard Work.
Foster a positive team environment and provide ongoing guidance and career development opportunities to direct reports
Communicates and demonstrates business acumen while sharing a compelling vision ensuring employees understands how their role impacts the business and customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Must be able to work in the U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Leadership experience managing direct reports
Strong organizational skills
5+ years related work experience
